Yoga therapy can help to re-organize the body and balance the energetic systems of the brain of children of all abilities. Yoga therapy can address attention, speech and language, self-regulation, learning and high and low muscle tone.
I have been dedicated to the health, well being and empowerment of children since discovering pediatric nursing over thirty years ago. For the past seventeen years I have been practicing as an elementary school nurse in Needham. I discovered yoga six years ago, and the inner peace, strength and spirituality it has awarded me has greatly enhanced my life.
Mindfulness and relaxation breathing techniques have become essential tools in my school nursing practice. Thus the seed was planted to marry the two joys in my life, and teach yoga to children of all abilities.
