Crafts/Activities
Art projects and crafts that relate to the theme are a perfect addition to a yoga birthday or arts in the park. They are a fun, integral part of yoga camp, and can be a way for children to connect with each other. Crafts are a way to connect a learning point from class to real life.
The creative process, expressed in a safe, fun environment, can help children with: grief and loss, learning and cognitive problems, emotional and mental health issues, communication about abuse and dealing with health issues, and many more.
I often use a craft to teach mindfulness; to help children mindfully and intentionally connect with themselves and the world around them.
